Youtube/a-m-v.org link trouble

Post by sephmithagnet » Fri Feb 24, 2006 1:31 pm

Ok, I got my little video up using RapidShare but I found that everyone now is using YouTube. That's understandable since it's easier to do and all I want is the music to most AMV's. So,I make my account at Youtube, upload my vid,and try to edit my vid here. I try adding http://www.youtube.com/?v=wbaRDYEx9QU link to my step four and I get this everytime

Umm,HELP! please

It really should be an indirect link, because the link doesn't point to a video file that your viewers can download directly... but I don't know if that's what's causing the problem.

There is a hardcoded block on youtube links.

BTW your other link ought to be an indirect, not a direct link. Direct links are for people to click and get the video directly, not for an html page with links to the video.

Why is there a block on YouTube links? it seems more convenient.

If I took a guess, I think it is because you can only watch the video there, you can't download it and thus it doesn't fit as a direct/indirect link to download the video.

Phade is the only one that can really answer this question though.
