Super Search - New criteria

Post by -GfN- » Fri Feb 24, 2006 3:54 am

Konnichiwa, Konnichiwa!

While in SuperSearch categorys like action, romance or instrumental already do exist, the music genre is missing:
why don't we put in the new criteria 'music' differing from pop to metal to jazz to etc. ?
fact is, that many people download amv's with music they can't stand but if they had an orientation concerning the music (if they don't know the band) stupid flamings in the ops such as "I don't like the music" would become less...

That's the other problem. Bands also frequently change genres as time goes on (they get reclassified). Then there's the issue of bands who don't always stay in one genre. Blind Guardian is usually power metal, but what about The Bard's Song?

We can adopt gambitt's genre classification system.
gambitt wrote:+ I will re-organize my music collection to consist of just *3* genres: Fuck Me, Fuck You, Fuck It. Fuck Me includes songs that are great to have sex to, Fuck You are the angst-ridden songs or just heavy rockers, and Fuck It are the introspective, other kinds of tunes.
Obviously, this is still somewhat subjective, but there are far fewer categories to contend with. Besides, these genre names are much easier to remember than
