Working with WMV:HD

Post by DJ_Izumi » Mon Feb 20, 2006 1:30 pm

I won't discuss the source material but I'm looking into doing an HDTV AMV right now. Only because I stumbled ass backwards into a version of the anime in WMV9 HD. True 720p baby. :)

So uhh... My normal method of editing is to use VirtualDub to export short cuts of the anime in Lagarith so I have the least ammount of large files on the disk at once and it's a lot easier for editing...

How in the hell would I accomplish that with a Matroska container holding WMV9 video? o_____o I know Vdub can't access WMV/ASF video... Is there some sorta AVIS script I could use to make a dummy file to feed into Vdub? X_X I'm totally fscking lost at this point.

Ah... Nevermind. ^_^; I can just use VirtualDubMod. While VDUB mod won't allow the opening of ASF or WMV files, the WMV3 stream is muxed into a Matroska container and it works with that like it normally would with any other Matroska file should. ^^:
