Honestly, I'd have to wonder sometimes. But thanks for the honest appraisal.Flint the Dwarf wrote:hahaha
Man, Toecutter, you haven't changed. But believe it or not, not everyone's out to get you. Put down your gun and listen to them for once. I've watched your video. If I were to rate it, I'd give it a 6.5/10, with 5 being average. It was decent. The lyric sync was fairly appropriate, but the action sync was nothing spectacular. The video itself dragged on, and it would have been much better if you could shorten the song by cutting a couple choruses... maybe down to 3:00 or 3:20 at least.
Anyway, as a first video, not bad. I'd suggest trying to get some better editing software, and maybe experimenting some more as far as technique is concerned. Conceptually, you seem to be fine, but your editing could use some work.
I can't edit with any good software, because...
1) I can't afford it (How in the hell do you guys pay for Final Cut Pro and such?)
2) I have to transfer between FOUR different computers to edit the AMVs I make, and three of those computers (all manhandled by my family) are thrashed to the point of file corruption (half of the videos come back as static or with excessive teleclining)
3) All of the computers, while being on the same network, are so glitchy they can't see each other on said network.
4) Did I mention I'm having to edit and slap this together on a variety of differnt Mac operating systems?
Overall, if I could just get my hands on some decent editting software, I could do alright. But unfortunately, my parents have a habit of fucking up every computer they own!
This is why I had to buy that iBook G4 laptop (because my dad damaged the motherboard on the iMac he bought me for college, and then bitched me out, saying I don't own this one, even though I bought it with my own money!)
But I am drifting off the subject.
I wasn't going for ANY lip synch in the video.
Secondly, what do you mean by technique? Are you talking transitions rather than just simple jump-cuts (I HATE transitions).
