AMV Block and Panels at Sakura-con!

Post by Vlad G Pohnert » Wed Feb 01, 2006 1:32 am

As seijin_dinger is running the AMV contest only this year, I have confirmed that this year at Sakura-con I will be doing two 4 hour AMV blocks as well as a 2 hour panel split into two parts...

The AMV blocks will feature a large variety of videos from the AMV world as well as include the showing of Anime Hell 3: the Motion Picture...

In terms of the panel, it will be split for a group of creators for the first hour discussion video creation, answering questions, etc and feature some AMVs as examples. For the second hour, I will do a live demonstration on my laptop of the elements that go into creating a music video showing tips, techniques and even a few advanced techniques touching on visual effects! I’ll be using two music videos I’ve done as examples (so if you’ve ever wanted to know what goes on in my head when I make an AMV, here’s you chance to find out… )

What I need to know is, which creators are planning to go to Sakura-Con so I can look at getting a few to sit on the panel

That would be a real fun learning experience. Unfortunately, Seattle is a bit of a drive for a weekend warrior like me. If it were KumoriCon I'd be there for you. Best wishes though, and have fun!
