Hello,

I have a question:

I would like to put up my first AMV but If I submit an AMV to animemusicvideos.org, can i be sued for copyrights?

What about the music? will i get in trouble for using music as a backround for my AMVs?

possibly, but probably not.

if anything happens, phade (the site creator) will get the worst of it.

We're hardcore that way.

I think it's pretty safe to say that if you upload your AMV here, the feds won't bother with you. We, on the other hand, will go over it with a fine-toothed comb and tell you whether or not it sucks. To some, that's a worse fate.

I never been to an anime convention but from what i can tell the Anime distributers seem to like it or dont care. They may see it as a premotion tool and most bands probably wont worry about your Clay Akin Pokemon love song video so... feel free to creat. Now if you tried to sell it mabey Mrs. Akin i mean Mr Akin would go beserk and call some big lawfirm or something.

The anime companys do turn a blind eye, but it's the record labels and RIAA that will screw us. Still we've survived before, with this many members I don't think we'll ever be hit with anything worse than cease and desist orders.

Go ahead and put your videos up.
