oke thx, a question, whats the "steps" you guys go through?
like..you first pick a song, then put fragments of the anime in it, edit it etc?
or you first look for fragments, and then pick a song :o

A lot of that is creator dependent.
Personally, I do both.
Sometimes I have an Anime that I want to use, other times I hear a song that gives me an idea.
I would reccomend, however, to get a song picked before taking clips.

Thx for the tutorial.
however, Phase guide says "Never use downloaded footage"
i was thinking about naruto or scryed or w/e anime, and there arent any dvd's of those.
is this a "hopeless task" ? in other words; what do other people who make naruto amv's do?

They either use bootleg DVDs, the R2 DVDs (imported), or downloaded footage. The decision as to what source footage to use for your videos soley rests on your hands.

Despite the fact that I haven't seen the video in question, I'm guessing she used the R2 (Region 2) DVDs, which she could of gotten imported from Japan. My next guess is that she got hold of a bootleg or a fansub that gave her good quality. Other than that, I wouldn't know.

It is possible to clean up the footage using AVIsynth; however, it's a tricky tool to learn if your just starting to make AMVs.
