Let's not forget HungryCrackPot's titles. They don't make 'em like that any more. :P

Best title EVAR!!!

I personally have 2 approaches to a title...

Epic sounding [like something you'd find in the fantasy section of your manga in a library]

Or steal a lyric that's part of the song but NOT the song title. [I've noticed people doing this and hey, it' works for the most part]
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

for me, I have a block whenever it comes to making a title. After I do all my work on my amv the last thing that comes to my mind is a title. Most of the time its the song im working on, and with that said, the name of the song usually carrys the mood of the anime.
Oh god, that black dude with the afro is always making those damn trash ass music hip hop amvs...he needs to do something with techno or rock....
.......as if I would do something like that.

I admit I am guitly of this, but almost every single video I see is simply the title of the song. It seems to really bother me as of late. I'm just wondeing if it bothers other members as much as me?
I give AMVs their own individual titles sometimes, but only when the idea that pops in my head sounds really good. If not, I just put the title of the song or something as the video's title.

I'm with most here. If I could think of something that's relevant to the video that doesn't use the song name, I'd use it, but otherwise what works, works. The most creative I've gotten so far is "Another Mindless Action Video" which while nothing to do with the song or the actual video used, is quite uninventive in itself.

Once I finally finish the vid I'm working on now I'm more than open to ideas for the title. The only one I can think of is both based off the song title AND it's a mismatch of what the video's feel should be. Sort of. You guys will get it if I ever complete the thing (or, for that matter, get the footage cleaned up enough that I'm happy editing with it).

I used to just use the title of the song for my anime videos but then I thouhgt "hmm...that's kindof boring" so I started using different lines from the actual song as a title. But, if I have no idea what to call the video, I use the title of the song.
