Any suggestions for anti-yaoi vids?
Just now, an idea popped into my head to poke fun at all those stupid yaoi/yuri fans that think like every single anime character is a homosexual. But what's a good song?! And what animes and clips from those animes are good to use?!

How would you portray this, exactly? Show incredibly straight characters all over their clearly canon partners? That would just be another het vid (of which there are thousands). You could have them 'watching' videos where they're portrayed as gay and then show them wincing or getting angry and blowing up the tv/computer screen, but that would involve some detailed editing to really pull off. And you'd still have to be careful - any video that has gayness, even one making fun of gayness, will still be enjoyed by the yaoi/yuri fans. Something to keep in mind about the homo-friendly viewers/editors - unlike homophobes they tend to be open-minded and capable of laughing at themselves. Chances are they'd find the video hilarious.
You'd have to do some really creative work to keep the plan from backfiring. Like casting the homo-fan (the 'editor' making the stuff) as some incredibly ugly girl and having her get splattered by rotten fruit, or torn apart in some vividly violent way - or maybe just drown in her own drool while the het fans rejoice and get knighted for their efforts. If you do character-cutouts, you could even have her working at a computer (ala the popularly used Lain footage) with some smutty gay pairing that she's putting together - to identify her as the offender. That would be sort of like those 'it's tricky' videos - poking at the amv-makers through an amv.
Since most yaoi/yuri fans are girls, and a majority are American, you could probably use "American Woman" - the 'stay away from me' chorus would fit, and you could show all the offensive stuff she does while using some straight-man character as the singer (the offended party).
It's a neat idea, but I doubt it could be pulled off without stealing clips from yaoi and yuri vids. And a self-explanatory parody would require some detailed/creative editing. But, hey, if we can see Pikachu kicking the crap out of Vegeta, anything's possible. ;p

Yeah, I doubt this'll work, but there's nothing wrong with an experiment. Don't forgot to reference Gundam Wing!! Not so much as an undertone in that show and it has THE LARGEST yaoi fanbase in the history of anime!
Have fun, ya bigot!

Be non-conformist! (Everyone's doing it!)
I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...
