amv creation help [removing audio from clips]

this is kind of a stupide of me to ask but u know when u make amv's u have clips and sometimes they have sounds in the backround how do i get ride of those oh and i'm using windows movie maker and if anyone can help me i'll be really greatfull

Right click on the audio and select Mute.
