Thinking of ever sending out the prizes from last year? Or is 6 months not enough time to do that? :?

Seriously, you guys really need to get your act together. You didn't even send out your prizes from last year? Oh man, I love it when amateurs try to run conventions and screw it up.

I thought there was a change in the AMV contest staff from last year...? Or am I thinking of a different con?

That is the last thing I heard... although I heard a lot of stuff that didn't end up happening, so i have no idea. The con as a whole should still be responsible for fufilling obligations though, right? If for nothing more than re-establishing a positive repuatation.

Whoops. I suppose that was really directed at the previous staff. Good luck with your upcomming con.

There were only two people that won last year.

S.M.A.H.U.T for Best Drama/Romance, Best Action and Judges Award

BadMartialArts for Best Comedy and Chairman's Award

So from what I've heard they had the prizes sent out a while back. The one guy is in France and they shipped it to them or at least that's what I've heard.

AMA the contest last year was fairly well organized. I went there and had a great time. There weren't any technical problems during the screenings.

No, thisi s the same staff as there was last year.

Also, Gene, once again you're wrong - they have prizes for up to 3rd place. Allegedly they're delayed b/c the conchair has been a lazy bastard

Just as a note yes the same staff is running the AMV contest this year as last. In response to this comment I will actually just forward a post link to the person who has possession of the items. Anime Mid-Atlantic recognizes that the prizes for 2nd and 3rd place from the 2005 competition have not been recieved by the winners. However we do have the items and full intention of handling this situation. To alliviate this from happening in future years we have COMPLETELY changed our system for the 2006 competition.

Reguardless it is my opinion that regarding production quality and audience involvement Anime Mid-Atlantic is one of the stronger competitions in the con world.

Not to sound like an ass or anything, but that's the same general responce that's been given for the last 6 months... Talk and "issue management" is one thing, actually doing something is another...
