Anyone know of any amvs using the renewal footage of NGE?
I'm looking for videos that use the footage from the platinum eva. If you know of any good ones please share with me.

Unless this is a way to shamelessly plug your own videos, I could recall a few but my mind is so derailed right now I could only offer up this one:

A couple of my newer ones (and newer remasters) use the Platinum footage (and footage from the R2 Renewal disc of EoE - in all of it's anamorphic and Force Filmed glory), but not all of them do. The VG3 and AMV Hell tracks I edited use it, though.

And that's a region 2 release correct? I really want the remastered version of that movie. Could someone please direct me where I could purchase it please?Jebadia wrote:http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=63355
End of Eva Renewal was used in this vid.

CDJapan
The DTS Collector's Edition:
http://cdjapan.jp/detailview.html?KEY=KIBA-1209
The Standard Edition:
http://cdjapan.jp/detailview.html?KEY=KIBA-1009
It's actually a two-disc set containing both Death(True)² on one disc and End Of Eva on the other.
And like I said, it's a friggin' sweet deal, since the footage is so good you hardly have to do anything to it (especially the fact that IVTC operations can be nixed since it's authored with a pulldown - the Force Film setting in DGIndex takes care of it for you). They've also got the rest of Renewal there, which I wish I could afford, but I've just got to settle for the Platinum discs I have right now.

The ones I got from there did not have English subtitles or an English language track. But I've already seen the movie translated, so.x_rex30 wrote:Wow, that is like soo expensive! Do they have engish subtitles by any chance? If not I'm going to have to look for a better deal because that is just waay to expensive to pay for the movie.
And besides being progressive, the footage is also anamorphic and generally gorgeous.

I'm waiting for Manga Entertainment to get off their asses and re-release these discs with the remastered video (probably never) or they lose the license and someone else does it (like the Patlabor movies 1 & 2). But it's originally from Gainax and it hasn't happened for Gunbuster so...
