You're joking, right? I think Nirvana's the most overrated band ever. That's what I meant by saying that rock went downhill in the early 90s, because of all that grunge crap.

That's one of the top reasons I'm proud of bands like The Darkness, Jet, The Killers and The Zutons coming out and cleaning up this mess in the music scene that should've been cleaned up YEARS ago.

Right.. because pop bands who sound like bad 80s music are so awesome. I still don't get how you can call grunge crap when it was one of the purest forms of rock, play songs how you want and don't care if they sell or not.
There's no time to discriminate - hate every motherfucker that's in your way

Rock isn't about whining how miserable your life is. It's about having fun, and partying, and how good life is being to you. I even know people who are like 40-50 or older who listen to rock music, and even they think grunge is crap.

And for the record:

It's no one's fault that most of the bands that have come out in the past decade and a half have been a bunch of poor, miserable bastards that hate themselves so much.

You may say that but:

1. They have an iconic song
2. The have an iconic frontman
3. They are overrated, but they were damn good when all other music was so awful.
4. Nowardays it is seen to be cool if you don't like Nirvana, I'm not saying this is the reason that you don't like them but it is a trend in younglings today.
5. You proved my last point, you have experianced them in some sort or other. Although of course your experiance is that they are crap.

They're not even close to being my favourite band but I know good (rock) music when I hear it. I am much more of a fan of Britpop, which really did have a massive positive impact (and continues to) on the music in the U.K.
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

You know I always thought the White Stripes played good rock.
