I might be a wierd case but I enjoyed: Full Metal Panic (Fumoffu as well), Sailor Moon, Pretear, Love Hina, Tenchi, Saiyuki, Kino's Journey, Steel Angel Kurumi, Big O, Card Captor Sakura, 3x3 Eyes, Excel Saga, Gravitation, Jin Roh, ROD and ROD the TV, Utena...

The list goes on way after that. Perhaps the girls like character development with a hint of bishonen. Pick something along those lines and I'll think you will be fine.

No wonder when I went to the offical website it had french and english!
I didn't take that and think it was a french cartoon because there are many sites all over the world that come in different languages for their favorite anime.
