Well, I like Anime with much blood, dying people and drama in it, and fanservice can never be wrong, too

And I like Anime/Manga with beautiful boys/girls.
I think most girls like Shonen-Ai and Yaoi, too^^
My favourite Anime is Ayashi no Ceres.

Maybe instead of actually handing someone $150 worth of anime/manga, you should give out a $150 gift certificate to Newbury Comics or some other retailer that carries a good selection of both. That way, no worries, and I guarantee the winner will be a LOT happier.

Most of the above in manga form, except Hellsing, which I personally love but, then again, I'm not a girly girl.

Saiyuki (duh, you know this was coming) [give them Saiyuki Gaiden if you want to be a little more unusual. Gaiden also is shorter, has a more concise plot and is generally a little ... prettier. No mom's getting it on with their sons/stepsons

Erm, for manga, I'd got for the more unusual, high quality stuff in general. Who wants volume XXXXXX...XXX of Inuyasha if you haven't got the rest of the series?

and anthing with cute long haired bishonen with nice eyes in it.
(anime long haired guys I think are charming
real life long haired guys I think are freaky.)
