Girls I'm gonna need your help here. What would you consider to be good anime. If Aniem or manga were a prize in a contest what would you want.

My (female) friends and I tend to like most of the same stuff as our male friends, except for anything really fanservice-y for the most part (e.g. none of us particularly like Kiddy Grade. However, we do like quite a bit of shounen anime- although it appeals to a large audience, stuff like FMA, Trigun, etc. is shounen.)

So I would advise giving away popular anime in general- stuff like Bleach, FMA, etc. You could also throw in some older stuff like Escaflowne, or popular shoujo like Fruits Basket.

But if you want a personal list, my favorites happen to be:

Witch Hunter Robin
Fruits Basket
Fullmetal Alchemist
Rurouni Kenshin
Trinity Blood

etc., etc.

Other popular titles with girls (in my experience) are Chobits, Kare Kano, Card Captor Sakura... anything CLAMP...

It's a good prize if you like CLAMP. Of course, some people hate anything CLAMP, so I would suggest maybe mixing in some other titles in case the winner doesn't like them. It'd cover a broader range of fans to include different manga studios.

Yea I've always been "one of the guys" so I watch stuff like gungrave, ghost in the shell, FLCL, Ninja scroll, Naruto, Ive read battle royal, trigun, NGE, angelic layer was a bit more girl oriented I found. I do watch/ read Inuyasha, but I dont know many girls who are into anime around here either to know if its girly... plus Im not in it for the lovey story. Im going to start Bleach soon, cuz Im cosplaying as Rukia and I really dont know who she is so I figured I'd find out, so I dont know if thats a girly anime or not. And I wanna start Hellsing too... Im sure that threw your whole girly anime theory off balance
