Why do people here say anime companies support AMVs?

Post by x_rex30 » Fri Nov 18, 2005 10:37 pm

I would like some links that support these statements. People say that a lot.. but I haven't looked at too many articles or anything, and I havne't heard directly from the anime companies themselves.. I know they have them at cons and everything.. but I'd like more info on the companies that support them, like it would be nice to maybe see some statements from them.

For most companies, it's a highly unofficial thing. It's not the sort of thing you're going to see any official statements about.

We, the people of a-m-v.org, do not support you in this attempt to make AMV distribution look 'more' legitimate..

ADV approached a number of amv makers to create official amvs for them before. I know anime companies have hired amv creators to make trailers and stuff. Some anime companies have specifically said, not in so many words, that they will look the other way as long as they can. (They cant officially support amvs legally, I think)

Come to AWA and you'll see ADV representatives officially sponsoring prizes for the Iron Chefs.

Still doesn't change the fact that you actually tried to make AMV distribution look more legitimate by listing alternate ways to obtain music and then came here to look for help on what anime companies support AMVs because you had no clue what the hell you were talking about on the other forum (so, you were using us to try and finish something you started).

Read AbsoluteDestiny's video profile on his Noir trailer. He made it for ADV and it can be viewed on one of the DVDs, I believe.

AnimEigo has been sponsoring the Org's own Viewers' Choice Awards for the past few years. For the 2004 (2003) VCAs, there was quite a nice collection of DVDs on the list of prizes, in addition to the editing software and whatever else there was.

... for the 2005 (2004) VCAs, there was very little in comparison, but it was still there.

In return, all VCA-related pages have AnimEigo banners instead of the standard Org banners. ... except that they don't. Okay, only the 2005 VCA pages have AnimEigo banners.

I didn't list ways you tard.. well if I was listing ways, give me some examples.. OMG I said google. OMG I said file sharing program. Shut up SuperFusion. It's pretty common you get on peoples nerves. And saying I was trying to finish something.. damn your dumb. I specificly said I give up in arguing. I wasn't even going to list info got here to them. To hell with them and to hell with you.
