Adobe Premiere Elements

Post by Dalton6 » Thu Nov 17, 2005 7:59 pm

I'm curious to find out what other Adobe Premiere Elements users there are and if they are having any problems with the program. My particular problem is with the custom preset option(s)...or the lack thereof. I can choose a custom preset, but it won't let me change the Editing Mode, Time Base, Frame Size, Pixel Aspect Ratio, Fields, audio sample rate, or Compressor. This is very frustrating, and I was wondering if it's something wrong with my program or with Adobe Premiere Elements in general. If there's anyone who has Adobe Premiere Elements and has been able to adjust the things I've listed above, please let me know how you did it. I'm trying to follow the very helpful "AbsoluteDestiny & ErMaC's Technical Guides to All Things Audio and Video mk2", but if I can't change my presets, I'm up the creek without a paddle. Anyone got any good ideas if there's no way to change the custom preset?

Thanks for the help!

I have not used Elements very much, but I believe you have discovered why it costs less than $100 rather than over $400.

My suggestion is to edit with DV-encoded clips. The guides will show you how to make clips. Just save them to DV since that is what Elements is hard-wired for.

Thank you for the info! I'm sorry to be late in the thanks, but I really appreciate your comment. ^__^
