Cant view my first local download, noteven sure its there...

Post by Archangel00 » Thu Nov 10, 2005 8:12 pm

i joined the site, and i found a local video and wanted, after some frustration i figured out how to download it. however i cant view it! or i dont know how. its not on my computer and its in my download list, they say i cant download anything until i give starts but i cant even watch it to do that! ive heard that there is a two week waiting period and that is why i cant watch it but even then i cant figure out how i would do that.

Not only that my two week waiting period should be over in about an hour and it heard it doesnt matter any longer

Hw do i watch my Local AMV?

what program are you using to watch the downloaded amvs?
codecs that I have found to play most everything that is on this site are:
DivX, Xvid and Huffyuv.
I use Winamp to play the amvs (plays most of them [with these codecs downloaded])

What browser are you using? If you're using Internet Explorer (or Opera and Firefox, for that matter; unless you have a default set), the Local downloads will come up with a window asking whether you want to open it or save it. If you choose to save it, which you should do, you choose the destination. If you can't remember where you saved it, I can't help. If you chose to open it, well... don't. If you did, however, it might be in your temp files.

AOL doesn't prevent you from using an alternate browser. Just use one that doesn't suck, such as Opera or Firefox (Google them if you want 'em). Even IE works well enough, and that comes with Windows.
