Requiett granted me an exclusive interview in the hopes that it would be put on the site.
Q: Okay, Requiett, we'll start with your name.
A: Brett Pattison, and it is an awesome name.
Q: Alright, why did you start editing?
A: One day I realized I was better than everyone, so I put a bunch of hobbies in a hat and pulled one out. First one that came out was crossdressing, and I don't know why it was in there because I'm already a diva on the side. So I tried again and got AMVs and I was like "what the fuck is this?" I looked it up on Google and I pumped my first in the air when I found out it was anime-related. I'm awesome.
Q: What is the main influence behind your editing style?
A: Drugs, man. Fuck yes. Dude, you gotta hit this. lol look at the fucking colors. See, I just, like, spread all this crazy cool shit that people are too uptight to experience themselves. It takes someone like me, someone with an open mind, someone really fucking awesome, to spread my kind of beauty. So, man, I just tell it to 'em straight and--
Q: When do you see yourself leaving this community?
A: --lay down the beats hardcore, if you catch my drift. Pretty soon I won't even need an editing program, I'll just tell the video what to do and it will obey.
Q: I think that's enough, but there's one final question: What is with the indigo text?
A: Indigo... it's like not quite blue and not quite violet and it gets its name from a plant! A fucking plant! And my videos are so awesome. Indigo is representative of the importance of colors in this art industry of ours, and it shows me as an individual. An individual that is better than you. YES! Brett Pattison signing off.
Yes, he said "lol".

You could just go here http://www.amv-contest-lists.org/year2005.htm
and see whos name keeps popping up. TaranT keeps a pretty good track of the winners of most of the cons. that way you dont get any fakes, you could also check out the amv contests forum to get results of cons there. Mr Panda has been winning a bunch of cons lately. wwithout uploading the winning videos i might add

I like the Interviews section. Learning things about people that greatly influenced and inspired me years ago (and still do) is something I take a small joy out of. Seeing how some people actually talk rather that edit is nice too, putting a "face" on the editor most of the ORG might only recognize as an online handle.
You could call it an online panel even

Also, requiett (what a macho name, "requiett "), you seem to think that saying "fuck" every other word makes you look cool, when in fact all it does is accomplish two things:
1) Make you look like a jerk.
2) Make you look like a moron (which your other posts have accomplished well enough anyway).

Haha, Requiett's topic just got boned.
But yeah, I wonder why more interviews haven't been occurring, since AMV Radio is pretty much kaput, it would be cool to see the site start taking a more active role in broadcasting information about members of the community. Maybe they should look for an interview staff or something.

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.
