Well...the differences btw them it's that the anime is not so complete as the manga! ^^

I don't know if I'm explaining well but the manga has more detailed parts of the story! ^_____^ I prefer manga but to read it first and then ready to watch the anime! ^___~

it depends on what is it, in the beginning i was all like "nah i dont care for manga/comics" now iv'e got a stock pile built up, what i like about manga's they do more of funnier things like the abstract faces, and multiple violence in more detail without it being ruined by the voice over, for instance, i was reading Heat Guy J and i noticed a big difference which is basically what i just mentioned while the anime is more serious.

I find that reading mangas you get to see and understand the scenery and situation much better because you have time to absorb it. Also the details are way more noticable. BUT with the animes you get all the sound effects and you get the sarcasm and tone of the characters voices. Sometimes storylines arent the same in the animes and the mangas and it can really screw you up if you do both for the same anime.

I like animes better for watching rather than reading but the mangas are better for art, you get to see still frames that I use to inspire pictures.

For me it just depends on whether I'm in the mood to read it or watch it.

anime is japanese animation and manga is japanese comic book . i like both of them but storeis in mangas are much better and they're complete . in anime they should make one episode in 20_25 min and maybe you become confused cause you couldn't anderstad some parts in this low time or maybe you miss some parts or episodes , but in manga you have enough time to think and understand the matters and you won't miss anything . but you know , i think we shouldn't compare anime and manga with eachother cause they're so different . manga is just a book and anime is a kind of animation and they have no same point ... :?
you know , behind of every legend there is a hidden truth ... so don't forget a bout the legends .

I think that manga and anime act well together as counterparts. There are some advantages and disadvantages to both of them and viewing both of them for a series can increase your understanding of it. Sometimes you have anime like Hellsing and Berserk which are both good but are both incomplete or different stories from the manga

What I get annoyed at is when people say "Oh don't read the manga it spoils the anime." Manga is not a spoiler for anime, its a different medium. Its like saying "Don't read Lord of the Rings, it spoils the movie." Well of course it spoils the movie but that isn't the point. OK I'm finished ranting now.

We all need a good rant every now and then.

I think that your right on with that. The Anime and Manga can provide things which sometimes their counter parts are lacking. For example

Anime can provide a better visual taste for what's happening. An example is in a manga you look at the pictures and read what's happening. You see the pictures of the fight but it's like looking at spaced screen shots. Where in a anime will allow you to see the extensiveness of the fight or interraction without losing any of the middle man in the process.

Now Manga's big step over anime is the idea that the manga provides more in the way of character depth. Lets face the fact that it's true. Like any good book it provides character insight, or plot devises that you just can't see in a 30 min anime episode.

I know there are a lot of differences but between the two I think they really work well together.
