Where'd Your Avatar (Picture) Come From?

My current avatar is apparently Bartok the albino bat (from the animated film Anastasia which I have not actually seen, but that's irrelevant). It's been there for the past while due to another editor claiming that my voice/accent sounds suspiciously like Bartok's - which makes some sense seeing how, as the famed bat is supposed to be, I was originally born and raised in Russia.

To this date, I'm yet to get definitive proof that I actually sound like Bartok. People who heard AMV radio in early september may attempt to confirm this for me.

I've messed with the avatar's colour for Halloween purposes. In a couple of days, once halloween is done, I'll probably finally change it after a good couple of months' "service".

Mine's only changed once in the 1.something years I've been here, and it's been Misa for a while, from the manga Death Note. I just like the character and the manga (at least before chapter 60

), even though she's usually the standard overly energetic, clingy girlfriend type (there's more to it than that, but she usually comes off as pretty ditzy/clingy). I also just like her overall character design and fashion sense, and, like JaddziaDax, it's a smaller version of an icon I used to have on LJ.

(Before that, I had Tifa, simply because she's one of my favorite characters.)

Got a little trigger happy when I put the dvd into my laptop, but I got some good pics. Kinda looks a little like me (imo), but I think Brandon Heat from Gungrave looks more like me (if I change my avatar it'l probably be one of my GG clips).
I'm not quite sure why a socially inept millitary operative threatening people with a gun to get a plain roll (from the school's on campus bakery) jumps at me, but it did.

I change mine rather frequently. Right now I'm using Subaru from Tokyo Babylon (my current obsession). Originally, the background was a bright red, but I changed it to make it match my sig

Anyway, that one was Rakka from Haibane Renmei, because she's cute when dazed and confused.

Eyes Rutherford from Spiral, because he's just that cool. Plus he wears black and plays the piano. Always good in my book.

I've had this one since long before I discovered the org. I saw it in a magazine as an illustration to an article. I decided it was cool enough to do something with it, so I eventually decided to make it my avatar (hoping that people would be able to tell what it is at 60x60).

Well, I'm using only my second "main" avatar since 2002 (I've done two Christmas-themed avatars and one Halloween-themed one). I made the switch a few months before getting a username change about a year ago.

My current avatar is the Wizard sprite from the GBA Angelic Layer game, which I was having a great deal of fun playing at the time.

My former avatars:

My first avatar here, and one that I used for a long, long time elsewhere as well. I picked it because at the time, it was the best image of a male CLAMP character I had in the images available to me (one of the Rayearth artbooks).

Christmas 2003 - Sad Lantis in Snow.

Made more amusing by the fact that the original image scene is in spring.

Halloween 2004 - Wizard in the Fishin' Boo's cloud from Super Mario World.

Christmas 2004 - Another CLAMP GBA game sprite, this time of Eriol from the CCS game Sakura de Mini-Games! It was color-changed to resemble a Santa outfit compared to the original purple robe.

The one thing my avatars have all had in common is that they're CLAMP characters, since I'm a very big fan of the group's work.

(And Scintilla, yes, you did use that next-to-last one. Not for very long, though, IIRC.)

Mine is fairly simple. God as taken from the Sistine Chapel with the roman numeral 9 behind it. I switched it after the mods removed my goats one.
