Change the DMCA

As this topic applies to the AMV community, as many of us are legally unable to rip our legally purchased DVDs because of the DMCA (or even WATCH them, in some cases), I decided to post this here.

According to this Slashdot article,

If they change it, it could be good for people like us, but bad for the ecomny. people could copy DVD's and Games much easier.

It won't be any worse on the economy. People already copy dvds left and right. Do you honestly think the current laws are stopping ANYONE? This would merely DE-criminalize many of us for doing perfectly legitimate things.

This sounds great that they are doing this. Its just plain moronic that ripping DVD's for backup and for AMV's is illegal. I will have to write something to them.

I know may be slightly off hand, but here's something that caught my eye while browsing BBC today...

Studies show that we're not [the only] freaks, eh

Appeal to them for the sake of our creative youth, etc.!
