Video Playing Problems.

Post by crushinonu » Sun Oct 23, 2005 6:16 pm

Greetings! I hope that I'm doing this right. I have been downloading videos for a few months now and haven't had any problems, but lately when I download videos, some of them skip. Like a DVD would do if it was scratched. You know, temporary pauses of audio and video. I have tried redownloading them, and I'm pretty sure that I have the necessary codeoc to watch them. Any idea how I can fix it? Thank you.

what codecs do you have?
what media player are you using?

right now it sounds like your processor can't handle it.
you might also want to do a scan for viruses and spyware.
Try to see if there are any updates for your media player

see if that does anything

I am using media player classic. Should I be using something else?

I scanned for viruses and spyware yesterday and found nothing. Yesterday my computer kept freaking out when I opened up a new movie that I'd downloaded. Tainted Dounuts, I believe is the name of the movie. (I never did get it to work and finally deleted it.) After that I scanned for viruses and spyware.

Codeoc wise, lets see, I have the ace mega codeoc pack, a media player codeoc and AVI codeoc. Should I get any others? Sorry, I know very little about computers.

Thanks for your help. By the way, I love Full Metal Panic! See ya!

I downloaded the newest version of Media player and it worked. I don't really like the new media player though. Could you recommend a better player that might work better?

Winamp has done good for me, I guess some people don't like it but hey! it gets the job done (except for quicktime and real media [.rm] files)
and it's free too
you can get teh pro version for $20, but the free version is more than enough for watching amvs.
