WIP: I give 1 op, you tell me what you think.

Post by OniZabuza » Fri Oct 14, 2005 11:54 am

It's simple: I'm working on a new AMV (Song: Lost Prophets - Last Train Home, Anime: Naruto), and I can't make this intro as good as I would like.

I give you a short and sweet op for your vid, all you have to do is: download the clip, watch it a couple times, tell me what you think. It's only about 12 seconds, and the file is 3MB!

READ BEFORE GIVING FEEDBACK:

The 12 seconds is divided into 3 parts

:00 to :04.5 - 8 clips with the white bar effect over them, synched to the music. Does the effect look good? Any better ideas? Does the synching look ok?

:04.5 to :07 - 4 moving shots. The effect right now is a little white flash, and I think it doesn't look all that good. Leave it? Make a new effect (ideas?)? Or maybe it doesn't effect at all?

:07 to :12 - I like this bit, but lemme know what you think.

You have really high standards imo.
I didn't really see anything wrong with the intro.
I do, however, think that the one clip with naruto and one of his clones spinning that ball of energy was weak. It doesn't seem to retain the intensity of the other clips (I would try to look for another clip).

The first section is good. The sync is on, and it sets up what you see in the next section. The effect is fine. I think that if you use an "old film" effect underneath the white bars that it would accoplish more and set the next section up even better. To me this section says flashback (or something to that effect) and I couldn't really see anything to suggest it.

The second section is the weakest one (don't get me wrong.. it's still good). The white flash is fine, but you should consider putting other effects in as well.Maybe mixing what you have with a couple of clips with Naruto/Sauske (sp) glaring at each other as the background.

The last part is great! I liked it. No effects needed nor any changes.

I tried to think of something else for the second section (for another effect) but don't have enough experience to make a desicion on that one.
Hope this helps!

Despite its flaws (I've watched it about 10 times since I uploaded it, and know pretty much what I could have done) I would like you to watch this one
Anime is s-CRY-ed
Song is Shout by Tears for Fears
Codec is mpeg2
spoilers aren't that bad (imo)...just fighting from the last episode (I don't show the final outcome of the fight)

this looks like a good one, but it's a trail version.
If you want something else you get a lot of hits if you search for:
"old film" effect plug in for Adobe Premiere
using your favorite search engine
