Well I've been watching AMVs for years on end and this is my first try to my money where my mouth is, but as the old saying goes "I got more on in than in me..."
I really tried hard to do something different, but I wanted to start out simple... So naturally a dbz video (there goes everybody) would be perfect.
I was searching the independent band scene and found a band and song that fits the movie a bit too well, so a lot of the scenes feel really armature to me. Also I had to do quite a bit of program trialing, because the source audio is mp3. So rather than compress an mp3 like most idiots, It's actually muxed into the video. So that’s why there’s no credits or intro scenes (etc). This was also a very bad attempt to keep the mpeg format alive, even with modern encoders like tmpgenc 3.1, the format is really starting to show it's age, but it still superior imo in compatibility. So for a first try video I found it suiting.
I worked on this video for about three days total... ummm oh yeah, some more stuff...
This is from the semi-new dbz movie 11, BIO-BROLY, song is called Defenseless and it's by a band called ROOK. I entitled the AMV "Melanoid"

sorry guys, you'll need a program called winrar
http://rarlabs.com
it's kinda like winzip only it doesn't suck. Simply install this app, then open the file I linked in my first post. Then it will open up and you can drag and drop my amv to a folder of your choice or simple hit the "extract button"

DBZ has been overdone...way overdone (imo)
but I would have given it a shot.
I just don't have the program or plugins to play .rar files
You may want to consider uploading it on this site (so you can get opinions)
Oh my god, are you serious?sasuke2468 wrote:yea i'd hav dl'd it too just because its ur first and i like to help make recommendations to help with the first timers but i can't play it either
rar is a compression method, like zip. Just get Winrar to unzip it.
And BTW, rar is a very nice compressed format. I like it a whole lot better than zip.
In any case, once you unrar the file, it should be a standard mpeg, since he encoded it using tmpgenc. But I suppose that's fairly alien to you as well, probably.
