I was thinking that adding the op counts to each of the collaborator's profile would be more for the videos that were made by two or three people, rather than MEPs made by twenty or so people. For example, Sierra Lorna and I do about half and half of the work when we collaborate, and yet the scores only go to the one who entered the vid in their profile. Same with Michele and Hinatasan, or VegettoEX and MeriC.
Maybe the person who uploads the video can choose an option whether or not to allow all of the collabs to get the op counts? Then the account "AniMix" could choose to not give ops to all of the collaborators, but Sierra could choose to allow me to get credit for the ops on our DDR track. Or as Flint suggested, divide the number of ops equally among the collaborators.
... But I second the notion that having new collab ops and quick comments appear in your member main page would be even better.

Collabs can already view opinions. It's not specifically pointed out when a new op is made to anyone except who entered the vid, but collabs can go and view ops. They can not reply to them however.
I personally think MEPs shouldn't count towards anyone score. A MEP is a combination of all editors and scores for it shouldn't and generally don't reflect on any specific person. I know the two MEPs I've headed included stuff I personally would never make or even think of making (both good and bad), why I should I get credit for that just because I happen to be the one who put it into the database?

I thought the key to a bigger e-dick was lens flare. Isn't that why Vlad has an org dick 12 feet long?Zarxrax wrote:What is the purpose of this? Bigger e-penis?

But as silver_moon pointed out, that screws non-MEP collaborative videos. To really address all the different contingencies when it comes to overall average scores would probably take a massive revamp of the op system, since all the MEP and collaborative videos were probably unforeseen when first devising the system.godix wrote: I personally think MEPs shouldn't count towards anyone score.
But really, WHO CARES about your overall averages? Is it really that big of a deal? Do people really consult them regularly to see how they are matching up with the rest of the site? Because that seems like a huge waste of time and effort to me.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

How, exactly, do you have a collaborative video that isn't multi editor? That is, after all, what MEP means.Kusoyaro wrote:But as silver_moon pointed out, that screws non-MEP collaborative videos.godix wrote: I personally think MEPs shouldn't count towards anyone score.

Sadly enough, about 90% of the org it seems.

Having been involved in both, I personally see a very large difference between a video that is created step-by-step collaboratively and a video project that is composed of many disparate tracks.godix wrote:How, exactly, do you have a collaborative video that isn't multi editor? That would be a great idea.Castor Troy wrote:That would definitely work for me as well.Kusoyaro wrote:I'd rather have collab ops appear in the New/Updated Opinions box than worry about whether or not collab op scores boost my overall averages.
I've neglected looking at Doomrider for so long that I never realized it had gotten that many ops.

I think this is a pretty good idea too and I also think adding the option to view the quick comments to these vids would be great too. Although I would like something that maybe set them apart from Ops and Comments that are directed toward me as opposed to a group of people.Michele wrote:That would be a great idea.Castor Troy wrote:That would definitely work for me as well.Kusoyaro wrote:I'd rather have collab ops appear in the New/Updated Opinions box than worry about whether or not collab op scores boost my overall averages.

Maybe shade new Collab ops/comments with Red or something and outline old ones in red.
