Okay so, there are possibley many of you that weren't around for the first Online AMV Iron Chef Tournament (link goes to the original topic explaining the rules). It ended up being a ton of fun, with Tash coming out as the winner.
Some of you also probably remember that a little while later, I brought up the idea for a 2nd tournament. The thread didn't generate quite the amount of buzz I was hoping for, plus I was frankly a bit burnt out for running the first tournament, so it didn't take much for me to just say forget about it. Well... lately I've been going back and watching some of those videos again and thinking "Man, running that tournament really was a lot of fun....." So, inevitabley, I return here, to the AMV Contests forum.
Here's how it's going. This thread is ONLY to gauge INTEREST for an upcoming tournament. I've already had a bunch of people tell me that they are in for another tournament, but I wanted to open up discussion to the public and find out how many people are really interested in joining. JUST BECAUSE YOU REPLY IN THIS THREAD DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE A CONTESTANT IN THE TOURNAMENT!!! I am only trying to figure out if I need to make this a 16, 24, or 32 person bracket (though I highly doubt we'd get up to 32).
NOTE TO NEW PEOPLE: Do not be intimidated by the idea of Iron Chef'ing. I don't know the exact numbers, but roughly 80% of the people who participated in the first tournament had NEVER Iron Chef'd before, and just about all of them said that they had a wonderful time, regardless of if they won or lost. So, why not give it a try? If you are COMPLETELY in the dark about what AMV Iron Chef even is, or how we do our matches, read through the original thread. The rules for the new tournament are going to be slightly altered, but for the most part, that's how it's going to go.
Also, want to make this clear. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR JUDGES. I have already talked to people and I have judges in place already. So please, do not reply just to say that you're willing to be a judge.
So anyways, let your voice be heard
