why is it called top10%
why does it list 401 videos
why isnt it more organized like showing only 50 vids or having the whole list change every year so that ppl see something different and at the same time avoid all those 1 ops

Because there are currently about 4010 videos in the database that have enough opinions to make the list (at least 8). At least, that's what "Top 10%" would seem to indicate.

I'd gather, therefore, that 10% of the videos that have enough opinions on the site consist of 401 videos.

It is organized by using 10% of the videos total. The list changes every hour, is that good enough for you? The reason a lot of things stay the same is because the opinion scores are staying the same. I have no idea what you mean by 1 ops, sorry.

Why change it to 50? that would just hide everyone's stats...

and the reason it doesn't seem to be updated so often is because that would mean that people would need to be giving enough opinion scores. One score won't change a video's placement if it's really high on the list, and considering that scores are rarely gained on videos most of the time the list seems to update slowly.

well nevermind the way i see it there has to be so much code controlling that section that making a significant change would take much time out of someone and since is not inportant it doesnt matter much
i think ill create an account and give all 1s to whisper of teh beast to level thigns out
