Who wants an in-depth review?

Post by pen-pen2002 » Sun Oct 02, 2005 5:34 pm

READ FIRST

I don’t want to toot my own horn here, but I think most people will agree that I do pretty good opinions.

I average about 1,000 words and I try to cover many different aspects of the video. I look at it overall and discuss mood, synch, structure, flow, story, etc. I also look at specifics and usually do a timing breakdown where I point out specific clips or transitions that work particularly well or poorly. I’ll analyze effects by integration and effectiveness. As appropriate I’ll look at character, color, continuity, catchiness, as well as other things that don’t begin with a “c.”

Of course the downside to all this is that it takes me at least 3-4 hours to op an average length video. Hence I don’t often do opinions except for friends and occasionally an op exchange (and I don’t have any videos I want oped right now.) So how can you get one of these big reviews? All you have to do is click on this link:

http://xbox360s.freepay.com/?r=22943819

Sign up and complete one of the offers. Several of them are free, though I would HIGHLY recommend Rhapsody, unlimited legal music downloads for a month for $1.

You don’t even have to use your real address if you have no intention of getting referrals. As for the e-mail, you really should have a junk e-mail account from AIM or hotmail for just this sort of situation.

For obvious reasons I will only be taking 8 people at this time and due to a full-time job plus college plus chores, I will only commit to one review per day, first come first served.

BONUS: As extra incentive I’ll throw in free advice over AIM/skype. Struggling with Premiere? Having trouble understanding the guides? Want to chat about a beta? (I love betas.) Want to learn After Effects? Just have a random question? Hit me up in the evenings (I’m usually on every day) and I’ll help you to the best of my abilities.

Unfortunately, yes. Which sucks, because many of my favorite editors are in diffrent countries, but you know what they say about beggars can't choose to kick a gift horse in the mouth... or... somthing like that.
Your op will be up tonight.

Note: I would have thought this was obvious but I'd better clarify to avoid confusion:

Once you have joined the site, and completed an offer, you must post here to recieve your oppinion. I'm not a mind reader, I don't know who you are by the e-mail address.

If I was a real asshole I would wait for it to credit before writing the op (0-14 days) but I am a nice trusting person so I'll take your word for it.
