Maybe the music you listen to is. Stop trying to speak for everyone else. And the guides don't tell us what to do, they tell us how to achieve what we want done.

No, you're being an idiot and making an ass of yourself. Give it up. The mods always win.
don't be offended, I'm not trying to offend, as Flint said, it's just how people deal with day to day life while in their dependant and opinionated (usually 12-21 or so) years.

in English please?? I know that I'm spurting out knee deep in philosophy and words I can hardly define myself, but are you saying that Otohiko did NOT just say that one of the biggest draws to a-m-v.org is the community? Are you saying I'm the only one that feels that way??
That was English. If you can't understand it, it's your problem, not mine. Ask someone around here to help.

My post did not address the truth of Otohiko's remark. It addressed your extrapolations.

You have not rebuked my argument, so it still stands.

I'm not even going to try to make sense of this thread anymore.

Yeah.. :?
I'm 16 and have been in a sarcastic, calm and slightly apathetic bastard period for the last four years. I'm not angsty, or rebelious. According to you, either I'm lying or wil become rebelious in the next five years. Which is it?

And tythil, I think his problem was probably extrapolations.

your right, I may have had it backwards... thinking is NOT what I do in this s/n. Tires are defined as rubber though if you think about it tires are not just made out of rubber ;p. lol, your correct, I had it backwards.

/is takeing a time out to go back through posts to reformulate my opinion

Sarcasm, rebelion, same thing. It's how you deal with it (it being life).

Knowname, before you continue this, do you understand how bad you're making OT look? What makes you think this site cares at all about people's angsty problems? That is not what they want. If you need that, there's LiveJournal. Believe me when I say it is in your best interest to drop this.

I may be in support of OT, but "teenage rebellious" is the last thing I want to see in it, and I'm sure others share the same thing.

No, what I want to see is a more-or-less mature, organized, well-moderated environment (and I have always said that more moderation was what was really needed to solve some of the old OT's inherent problems). You want to rebel, fine - as long as you play by the rules. Noone is going to chase you out of an OT forum for expressing an opinion or taking a certain position. Noone is going to chase you out of an OT forum for bringing up a valid theme for discussion. But fundamentally, any good .org OT will NOT be the "stupid sorry, rebellious teenager's playhouse". It's a place for more-or-less orderly discussion first and foremost, NOT cheap entertainment. As long as the latter can be reconciled with the former, it can stay. When it can't be, it should be modded.

I would like to see more transparent modding, however. It seems to have worked out well for the 'revealed mods' after OT.

hmm... well it seems my answer to the one solution set out to me (the 'this is a-m-v.org, phade made it for amvs not off topic forums' reasoning) had spawned off the deffinition of rebelion route that we are currently dwindleing in -_-

And I would like to take this time to examine sarcasm as it relates to rebelion just a bit more. Mostly because it's on the tip of my tongue, but most importantly to make my last post clearer. Studys show children under 10 cannot understand sarcasm so as the weight of life steadily comes to bear on you, most (who are not squirming little worms like Shinji Ikari -fictionous I know-) ppl turn to this flame tongued alternative and hone this until their finally good enough at it that they can make sence with it. Rebelion is pretty much doing the same thing, not doing what your superiors want only sans the excuses. So sarcasm means rebelion, rebelion does not necesarily mean sarcasm. Hmm... in Naruto, Naruto is sarcastic, he gets out of things with excuses, Sasuke is rebelious, he ignores things. They both represent the same part of the brilliant teenage psyche ;p.

That is putting it lightly, you never really grow out of sarcasm or rebelion, I still ignore my roommate when he says 'my parents are coming over, help me clean the house' and I'm sure I'll ignore my wife some and she'll ignore me plenty ;p) but it'll tone down alot with freedom.

OK! moveing on again, I would like to post my movement that this site have clearer guidelines on where it stands. My suggestion is by speciffically re-opening the Off Topic forums with simple rules as before such as no nude pics, uh, keep the flaming to a minimum, 2 strikes and your out (with the option of rebutle) and whatever else... like I said, I just want a place where I can put my id on a damned LEASH without fear of Big Brother.

Basically I agree with Otohiko, I didn't mean to have this 'rebelion' thing as an issue -_- (To Flint).
