Here's some images for the new season:

Hmm, chibi Arf, Fate in a school uniform, and more evil magical girls. Man, I seriously can't wait for the new season.
It's quite amazing that the producers has taken this mahou shoujo genre series and made it a "shounen action" type. It's all about casting spells and lay waste on your enemies! Of course there is an arching plot.

Just got episode 1 of the new sequel, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A. Man, I thought I'm going get burned out with these new shows with badass girls, but man was this episode entertaining. It's quite entertaining how Nanoha is able to strategically call out her magical attacks especially when she doesn't have to transform. Though that new "evil" magical girl Vita can really do massive destruction when she goes to her "SEED mode".
Pretty awesome action sequences though, but

Need more mahou shoujo destruction!Nanoha got beaten pretty badly especially since her magic staff cracked. Of course it left off with an evil cliffhanger where Fate blocks Vita's attack and saves Nanoha.![]()

And episode 2 of Nanoha A's has delivered me more mahou shoujo destruction! YESSS!!!!!
It's the way magical girl anime shows should be!
This is pure awesomeness! Action scenes were well choragraphed and well animated. The evil magical girls (known as the Velka-type Knights) have the coolest weapons ever with their German-talking magical staffs and cartriage loading attacks.Nanoha got beaten pretty badly so Yuuno put her in a magic barrier for her to recuperate. While that's happening, Fate and Arf goes 2-on-1 against Vita and nearly won until reinforcements came; it's another magical girl who uses a sword and a man dog (similar to Arf). The new enemies really did a number against Fate and the others, so Nanoha decided to use her ultimate attack to destroy the barrier. Unfortunetly, another magical girl appeared, and she nearly interupted Nanoha and put her hand through her!
Nanoha was able to perform the spell, but she collapsed in the end.

Geez, episode 4 was EVIL.......

On the plus side, Fate's shy reactions during the first day of school was adorable.... they left with a cliffhanger of Nanoha and Fate getting new magical upgrades along with new transformation scenes, and they're about to fight those evil magical girls!
Gah! I need episode 5 NOW and see more mahou shoujo ass kicking!![]()

Well the first 3 episodes of the first season starts out like a typical magical girl show. Then Fate arrived, and the episodes progressed that's SO not typical magical girl. Second season really reinforced that "not-so-typicalness". Just see if you can get through the first 5 episodes or so of the first season, and if you don't like it, oh well.
