Can I enter live action videos?

I know the rules say I can't, but can I anyway? :P
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

I actually have made a trailer...maybe I'll send it... along with another video. (Neither of which were in the AWA pro's contest.)

Answer time:

Yes, Ohayocon has had a rough rep in the past, and the AMV contest wasn't an exception. They didn't have me behind the wheel though ;)

Atom: If I see your Iron Editor video in the contest, I personally fly to your house and deliver a beating. And I'll film it. And make it next year's secret ingredient!

Beo: If you send it, it will be DQed on the spot. We may put it in overflow. Last year we had an 11 minute video, and even though everyone loved it, that was pushing it even for overflow ^^

WhereNext: Send it. Call it a trailer, or comedy if it's funny. It's not gonna hurt to submit and I can't really pass judgement on videos BEFORE they enter the contest. Conflict of interests or some crap...

Hsien: See Beowulf's answer. And you better not send us porn!

Godix: yes.

Kent: This is God. Stop touching yourself.

If two people submit a collaborative video, does that count as one video for each person?

It will count as 1 entry for the person who is listed as the main contact, unless you are both from the same studio. Otherwise a team of 6 creators could crank out 6 videos and eat up 20% of the contest ._.

Bottom line, we're leniant with the multi-editor stuff, just don't abuse the priviledge ^^

Damnit! without a scanner or the know how/ drive to find one that works I guess I'm stuck with sending it in... Can I ftp you my video and send you my form? Either that or I'll have to buy me a dvd-r and slim case. It's Huffyuv atm as I've no MPEG-2 license ;p do ya need to know the frame rate??

You can ftp us the video, and snail mail the forms. That is perfectly acceptable. However, until we get the forms, you are considered "not submitted".

Huffyuv is fine. If you're going to upload that, I'd say you're nuts, but hey, it's your bandwidth ^.~

TMPeG does a fine job of reading the internal framerate, so just send it however it is.
