Hello,
I was just wondering about the serious lack of Peter Chung AMV's here at a-m-v.org. I was curious if anyone could tell me what the deal is.
I read a rumor that said a-m-v.org doesn't allow Peter Chung AMV's. It seems pretty true because I am finding so few. I was wondering if anyone knew why this might be or if it's just a vicous rumor and people are just dying for good Peter Chung AMV's to finally come out.
I tried to write to the administration about this, but I haven't recieved a reply yet. I know they're busy.
I'm sorry if this subject was brought up earlier or elsewhere in the forum, I guess I'm impatient and don't want to dig through hundreds of posts.
I appriciate any info anyone has on this subject. Thanks!
M.

Yea, Æon Flux is considered an American cartoon. Reign on the other hand should definitely be considered anime...(is there any argument?) I removed my Æon Flux video when the rule was implemented.

Well, alright, but...
...the animatrix is an american animation, is it not?
I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm trying to see the logic here.
Obviously I'm a Peter Chung fan and would really rather be working on an AMV to one of his works than what I am currently doing. I don't want to break rules or anything like that, but I am very frustrated by this rule. I understand the need for it though. I guess if you let one "made for America" anime in, you've got to let them all in.

Animation yes, american no, well not made entirely american made at least, cept for maybe Chung's segment and the full CG segment by Square USA. Majority of the Animatrix segments were made in Japan by studios such as Bones (Studio Bones), Madhouse Studios, and Studio 4C.Misformurmur wrote:...the animatrix is an american animation, is it not?
