Alright everyone, here's the big debut!
Red Wolf seems ot have disappeared, so SnhKnives decided to step in and try and coordinate the AMV Dinner this year. However, Lee is also helping with VAT, and apparently it will not be done in time for him to attend the dinner, so I picked up where he left off.
I have a rough estimate of 31 heads. Here's what I need from you guys.
Regardless if you already posted you were gonna be there or not, I need you to post this if you're going to the dinner FOR SURE:
Code: Select all

A list of names for those certain to come will be updated in the second post.
What is the AWA AMV Dinner?
The AWA AMV Dinner is something started up by Red Wolf, in which we make a reservation at Carrabba's Italian Grill.
The dinner starts at 9pm EPT. The restaraunt closes at 10pm, but in the past we've been assured it would be okay to stay until 11pm.
I have not made the reservation yet, so I do not know if that will hold true for us. We are pushing it awfully close this year in making our reservation, so Carrabba's accepting us at all will be good for me.
It isn't associated with AWA in any way, and is completely unofficial!
What's Carrabba's Serve?
The menu can be found here[pdf file you must download]
Additionally, a pdf reader can be downloaded here.
What about tipping? And prices?
So how do we get there?Red Wolf wrote:Carrabba's will split checks. They only ask that multiple people on the same check be seated in the same booth. This should be obvious but each person is responsible for their own bill. I understand that there may be a few people not interested in a full dinner for one reason or another but I do ask that you order something. This restaurant is going a bit out of their way to accommodate us, including staying open a good hour later than normal. There will be a 15% gratuity (required for groups over 8 ) added to each check. The local sales tax is 5%. FYI all Georgia restaurants are required by law to card for alcohol so bring your IDs if you're over 21 and prepare to enjoy the greatness that is southern iced tea if you're not Very Happy
Inside the Rennassaince Waverly Hotel (main AWA hotel) there's an escalator. Everyone should gather on the second level of the main area of the hotel at 8:30pm. Try to gather between the two escalators without annoying AWA or hotel staff as both will be busy getting ready for the con.
Registration is also usually open by this time, so you can get your badge while you're waiting.
Once we have gathered the plan is to head out by 8:50pm. We will take about a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the restaurant. I'm moving
Sweet mother of God, I don't remember how to walk to the restaraunt from the Waverly. Can any one be a guide for the group?
