AWA XI Pro Nomination Deadline

Just a quick notice to all those participating in the AWA Pro contest: Today by 5:00 Eastern Standard Time, we need to have all the nominations in so we can move on to the next stage in voting.

Please Note: If you voted early, you'll want to come back and take a look at new categories that have cropped up since you last saw the list. It's worth checking just to make sure you didn't miss anything.

After 5:00, the voting site will be taken off line and sorted for the final voting.

I say everybody should nominate a bunch of videos for Worst Category so that it stays...and then we'll have an award that makes no sense at all

I imagine some (those that don't have panels or choose not to show their videos at the panels beforehand) potentially not until the awards ceremony or later. I don't recall who made what being formally announced anywhere by the contest staff in the past few years...

Quu used to post the full list of videos and editors to the mailing list as soon as final voting was done. But I don't remember what's happened in more recent years. I'm pretty sure all was revealed before the actual con every year, though.

Last year it was posted on the otakuvideo site and the posting was announced in their LJ community.

With all the new categories added, I'm too reluctant to even go to the voting site anymore...

I'll be making some more votes but I still stand by my votes in the ORIGINAL categories..

I guess we should all make some kind of AWA pro confession thread if nobody from AWA posts the creators.

Bah, that's no fun. I like dragging the suspense out as long as possible.

I'm handling the listing for Expo and have offered to Wayne the option of also hosting the Pro listing for an 'unveiling' just prior to the con. We've been understandably preoccupied with expo for the last week but I'll bring up the idea to him again in the near future.
