appending comments

Hi, I recently had to put up a temporary notice in the comments section of my video information because my website went down for a couple days. Now that it's back up, I want to delete the notice so that people will know that they can download it again. The problem is, once I go to edit the information, I can't delete it. The text box is there and I can highlight the text but not delete. Is this just a site bug or something that I just can't do?

Comments can not be deleted for a few days while some problems get sorted out. You can continue to add new comments in the meantime though, so you could add another comment telling people to ignore the last comment, or whatever. Thanks for the link. It really helped with my question. It was a pretty intense debate so I didn't throw my two cents in. I got a temporary solution but I still hope that this matter gets cleared up soon.
