Nice, got to see my video on the big screen, even though it was all dark and out of sync...Mr.Panda wrote:6) Ben (Various) - Overloader a.k.a Techno Bass Booster
As I said...the syncage...Mr.Panda wrote:1) Synching.... like OMG?! Seriously, WTF?
Yeh, that sucked.Mr.Panda wrote:4) Wow, 10 am?
They moved it out of the John Basset Theater two, last year it was a much bigger screen, it seems that the contest just isn't important =(.

I actually submitted because Will Millberry entered his "Silence" video there, and I was thinking this could be a nice, competitive contest to enter in.... but then I find out there's only 11 entries total this year, and the people here say there was so many problems with the contest showing.... Well, it's nice that CNAnime gave me an AMV award for Best Action... but it's not so nice CNAnime treated the AMV contest like an afterthought. Yikes.
Congratulations to everybody who participated

He entered because he went last year, since Yoshitoshi Abe was there.Brakus wrote:I actually submitted because Will Millberry entered his "Silence" video there, and I was thinking this could be a nice, competitive contest to enter in....
The con is one of those "multi" cons, with anime, scifi, comics, and now horror and gaming all in one. It's stretched a bit thin.but it's not so nice CNAnime treated the AMV contest like an afterthought. Yikes.

CN Anime
Well Have I got some news for you...
First of all I'd like to congratulate all of the winners, and say, what good jobs the people did on the entries, I enjoyed all of them. I was completely blown away by winning the best in show category (a category I didn't know they even had, so after the misc-winner was played Congrats Mike, I got pissed as all hell, thinking they never bothered playing either of my entries)
I went to both showings, because I love watching these things in as big a crowd as possible, and sure enough, the showing that was actually scheduled had a huge lineup to get in, it was wrapped from theater one, around the corner down the hall and almost made it to the parking lot exit. It was an awesome crowd, very active and willing to cheer laugh clap and Wooo! (P.S. Thank you for your "This video is freekin' hilarious"comment when mine played anonymous loud crowd member whoever you are)
Now for the news, for all you lucky winners. There are apparently prizes, I found out after talking to the guy who played the video, then the guy who made the compilation, then the PR Department of Hobbystar... apparently they will get a hold of us through the contact information we sent with our entries (most likely by email) so this is My plan I am giving Hobbeystar 2 days to contact me, then I'm going to start contacting them, (I got two weeks of freedom before school starts, so I got plenty of time),
feel free to contact them as well until we all get free stuff, cuz the only thing better then watching AMV's in a crowd full of fans is getting free stuff after.
