How do I start?

Post by Lou-chan » Fri Aug 26, 2005 5:49 am

Yes, I've always wanted to try making AMV's. I've made a few just-for-fun ones on my old PC. (With my old Windows movie maker.) But I'm not sure how I should start. I have got the newer version (I think..) of Windows movie maker on my computer but it always shuts down just after a few seconds. Are there any better "AMV makers" out there? And that are easy to use as well?

Their are two sticky threads in the video software forum which list all free/paid video editors. If you want something high end, and your not prepared to pony up some serios cash (though magix is prety cheap) then ya've gota go linux.

From what you've described, I've had this happen before but I have never used WMM. uninstall it, delete all the files from all the WMM folders, restart, then reinstall. make sure you save any data you want beforehand.

This works in most cases, but if it doesn't, off to find a free alternative.
