About adobe premiere 6.5

Hey im using adobe premiere 6.5 to do my videos now and for some reason all of a sudden the video is going in slow motion, the clips are fine its just when i preview them on the timeline they'r going slow and its the same with my other projects aswell. I cant get any work done because everythings going slow in the timeline so if anyone like an expert knows how to fix it please tell me, thanks

what codec are you using for the previews? if youre using huffyuv then obviously theres going to be a lag because most computers arent up to playing it at full speed, but for a conclusive solution we need more details: codec youre using, any effects, that sort of stuff.

Well, the clips are all mpg and work fine except when i try to preview them with premiere, and im not even try to use any effects just try to get it to preview peoperly then the effetcs can come

Well what have you got set as your preview codec? you'll want to set it to something easily viewable like PICvideo's MJPEG codec (although you may have to go and find that) but if you've got it set to somethinglike huffyuv or lagarith then it probably wont work because your computer can't keep up.
