Seeing your name just made me think of one advantage, you could show Sink in it's entirety without anyone having to download the video.trythil wrote:Wow, I'd hate to see this take root for hentai videos.
As for the hentai vids, the ads on those are the one reason I'm kinda hoping this idea takes off.

I was just thinking that. And I think I'll have fun abusing this. Since all my videos are so horribly bad, I'll spare people the trouble of downloading them by putting the ultimate warning in my video profile: a girl with pretty eyes. I could just not upload my videos, but this way is more fun.trythil wrote:Wow, I'd hate to see this take root for hentai videos.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Actually, at one point I was working on making a small, 30s "preview" of the video. It worked fairly well, except that only mplayer, vlc, and xine could play the previews. Windows Media Player barfed...
If anyone knows how to create MPEG4 video with mencoder that WMP likes, drop me a note.

I know those players (not sure about xine) all have built in support for playing back anything. With windows media player or any directshow based player, you need to have an mp4 splitter installed on your system.derobert wrote:Actually, at one point I was working on making a small, 30s "preview" of the video.
