Hi all,
I need to make a part of an AMV look like it is an old VCR tape rewinding. Now doing the basic reverse is of course easy, but how can I add lines to make the effect realistic looking? I wil be using Final Cut Pro. Can I do it an Abode After effects? If so how?
Thanks for any help

Best way is to actually rewind the footage in a vcr and capture it.
Short of that, I once made a rewind effect back when I made my [url=http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 3Bomberman[/url] video. I started off by overlaying a clip of some tape static that someone sent me on top of it, and then I got the rest of the way by using a 3rd party After Effects plugin that was designed for making the video look like a bad tape. The plugin was called DE Video Malfunction, and was part of the "Digieffects Delerium" plugin package.
Sony Vegas also has some built-in effects for making video look crappy.
