Gomen Nasai. Sorry been emo lately shouldnt take it out on other ppl. I shouldnt have put up this selfish post of Avril its very self centered about my own problems and interests. Don't worry about it!

What irked me is just the spirit of the original post. People going hyper over musicians.... I mean come on, nowhere does it even mention any musical qualities. And I only accept musical appreciation that's based on musical qualities as, well, true musical appreciation.

Alles klar?

Okay. Just post a bit more... well... less emotionally and more rationally, shall we say

I once read something, very helpful to me because the last thing I ever want to be is a musical eleitist / snob. I don't know who wrote it so I can't give credit but here it goes.

If you appreciate music, Truly appreciate music, you'll listen to anything, because any music is better than no music.

[BTW my musical tastes are quite Odd so I often have to use this excuse when other people complain about what I'm listening too.]

Interesting and understandable standpoint.

To me personally though, it's not really acceptable since random music to me is - as harsh as it may sound - nothing more and nothing less than noise pollution.

On the other hand, any music in the right context is indeed better than no music in no context. But then no music in the right context is even better.

Hey I love getting into these things, it's quite a hobby of mine.

Now arguing what is and isn't music is generally pointless, I have to say that no music (if no music equals ambient sound) can be considered music if listened too with the right frame of mind. And I can enjoy thats as much as I enjoy any fine concerto...
