Have You Ever Reached The Point? [I'm about to break]

Has any one ever reached the point in editing thier amv when they've wanted to explode it?... It's been a month and i'm still working on my first amv and no matter how many clips i try to put in the end section of it (i'm so close!

)and i just feel like i won't be able to find the right clips!

Any tips?

Edit the song down shorter so you don't run out of usable footage?

that just makes me feel like i'd be cheating lol and the song is well known so it'd be noticable that i cut it, if it was less of a mianstream song i'd do that because i've thought about it... but it just doesn't seem right, thanks though

Take a break, don't force it or you'll end up ruining it. I have a video I haven't worked on in a month though it's 80% done. I'm not sure what to do with the rest of it. But this has happened to me before and I'll get back to it soon. Just take you're mind off it for a while and you'll think of something naturally.

Or if you really want it done now. Watch the anime over, specifically looking for parts that will fit nicely.

yeah, that does, but whilr i'm on this break do you suggest starting another one i had in mind or take like a full break?

You could start another one, the danger there is that you'll get to wrapped up in it and won't want to go back to the old one.

Well, the only advice I can give is to first listen to the song you're using over and over and over and over and... you get the picture. So if you've already done that, good on ya. If not, try it.
Next, like mikestrike said, watch the anime(s) your watchin for choice parts. Then, right before you start your project, listen to the song one more time on your mp3 player/Cd player/ watever you use to listen to music. Sorry if my advice doesn't help out much.
