Discussion: Video of the Year

Post by AltruisticCrono » Sat Jul 30, 2005 7:24 pm

Since I'd like to discuss this thread with others, this is more than an AMV suggestion.

Any thoughts on the Video of the Year? I'm sure I've missed some great videos along the way...but recently picked up a gem.

Sierra Lorna's "In My Mind" using the band SR-71.

Simply an awesome AMV that all should witness. :D

Any other great videos that you can't stop watching?

I motion for a lock until December when this thread is worth something.

Giving publicity to good videos is great, but the Recommended AMVs forum is kind of made specifically for that, isn't it?

my own of coarse... but it doesn't seem to be to the taste of the non-artistic I guess... I still got AWA and AUSA though... have the same problem with my 2003 entry ONLY NOW do they see the genius.

but otherwise I like Waka Laka for Osaka. I didn't like it enough at first but now I see the genius of it -_-.

not really... most of those aren't eligible for 2005 or 6 or whatever you wanna call it.

There's nothing to do with release/premiere date in that description.

That's funny, I feel the exact opposite way about it

I'm thinking "Naruto's Technique Beat" and "The Wizard of Ozaka" will be pretty strong contenders.

Thanks for mentioning my AMV, though I'm not so sure about it being Video of the Year. I'll be waiting until the end of the year to make my decision about that--there's always some top-notch work being released after AWA and various other contests, so I'll see what else comes out. As for now, Naruto's Technique Beat and Still Preocuppied With 1985 are at the top of the list for me.
