Hey everyone, someone brought up something we had not given much though too yet. Where are we meeting, and WHEN exactly. I mean, it's pretty evident we are headed to Uno's... but before we get there where would everyone congrigate?
In the past we usually just met at the corner of PRATT and CHARLES (the end of the convention center where the Hyatt is)... usually between 9-10pm. At 10 we head to the resuraunt.
Black Sun, you are technicaly the one in charge, so you want to do the same thing? Maybe start to meet a bit earlier? It's your call really.

errr. I can't edit. I thought I covered that part. I just mess around on my computer for fun. If a kid draws a house in crayon with a smiley sun next to it and purple grass, you don't call him an artist. Just a kid with crayons.
And OFL, dude, I don't know you. I've only done the project and PMs and stuff, never met ya or talked on AIM or anything. ^_^; But okay. Though if the "for everyone" meetup is Thursday too, I'm out anyway; I only take off Friday and Monday for this thing. I'll see you 'round the other three days, though, okay?

I don't stay in Baltimore till Monday! I go home Sunday afternoon and recuperate on Monday. You know, time to decompress and face the normal world again.
I don't go on Thursday because that equals paying for an entire extra night's hotel stay for zero con time. I'm an old fogey and not one of y'all whippersnappers who sleep 50 people per hotel room, so it is kind of a notable expense. I'd be dropping another hundred bucks or whatever just to uh... hope I run into someone I know in the prereg line who then will say "hi, gotta run" and then hurry off to meet someone cool. The cost/benefit analysis comes down on the side of "no" to Thursday.
I do think these things out, ya know.
Nothing ever goes on outside Thursday, huh?
Why is that?

I thought about that too. I initially booked for only Friday night. In any case, I decided to book for Thursday night as well since I'm also an old fogey and didn't want to get up early Friday to make the drive. I've never been to Otakon so I figured I'd scout the area out a little the night before. I'd also like to grab my badge before the lines get too long Friday morning. Even though the C/B analysis still leans towards driving up Friday morning, the thought of morning traffic, long lines, and potential heat/humidity on top me not being a morning person, the one extra night trumped it.SarahtheBoring wrote:I don't stay in Baltimore till Monday! Actually I only have a hotel room Friday and Saturday night myself, but I live like 15 minutes away so I'm headed down for a couple hours thursday just for the dinner.
Gonna be a pain trying to find a parking spot Friday Morning but tis how things are.

I usually did the same, but this time I'll be driving Sunday and Monday back to Madison, WI (yes Ashyukun, AtomX and I are stupid and not flying) and then immediately going to some teaching seminar at the University.SarahtheBoring wrote:I don't stay in Baltimore till Monday!
