A/V desync when compressing..help!

Post by Ch@nTy » Sun Jul 24, 2005 9:31 pm

HELP.....!
Here is what happens
Complete the video....
Export the video from premiere...
Encode it with DIVX or XVID in Virtual Dub....
Finishes the compression....
but...
When I try to play the video in a common player...
desync problems occur...
It slows down on some parts and acelerates the video in others...
the video/audio end is at the same time....but with a total desync in the rest of the video....
the music is unaffected...no desync
I can't say the same for the video....
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE ..... IS GOING ON....?
OR
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

First, check the encode out in VDub. Make sure the right frames are still at the right timecodes. It they are, then your computer probably can't handle the playback.

That exact thing happens if I compress my audio with a variable bit rate rather than a constant bitrate. It's weird. o__O

no....if I let it go on since the very begining it goes well till the end of the video...
but..if I fastforward it...to the middle for example....then the video that shows is 2 or 3 seconds before the part it should be....the sound is ok....the video is the problem...
It goes like this till the very end...it..somehow changes the speed of the video to fit the audio final with the video final....but..as I said the rest of the video is...out of sync....
And I've made lipsync.... in almost half of the video....

YAY!!!!
I made it!
I think the mp3 in premiere was creating a conflict...i converted it to wav and replace it...then export it...compress it...and now it's ok :D :D :D
I made it in CBR rather than in VBR...:D...thank you all!
