seriously though, if you can give proof, the admin should look into the coding.

easy, you judge something without it all 9s and you judge something without it all 9s, the one without it (for me, Alchemist's job, a stupid FMA video, verses Images, a BRILLIANT Last Exile video that I'm sure Corran will agree with me -_-) then, just because I can't bear to give all 10s, the crappier one will be higher! Doesn't bother me though as the only place it's evident is in my own opinions page, but....downwithpants wrote:![]()

Awesome post Beo, although I'm firmly aiming for the top left with my own work (and failing miserably, but eh).
Moonlight - As far as the demographic, it's not the age. Believe me. Age has nothing to do with this. It's the general culture of cheap competition and attention vampirism that we live in that's the cause of the problem, not the fact that too many kids watch and review AMV's.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I was referring more to creating the videos, not the opinions.Otohiko wrote: Moonlight - As far as the demographic, it's not the age. Believe me. Age has nothing to do with this. A sizeable chunk of people on this site aren't looking to bedazzle the audience with artistic merit. They'll make videos because they want to, with their favourite artists and animes.
This is, for many, just another hobby, and not all have been to film school, or aspire to make something of great "artistic" value. Though the word "artistic" has its own pretentious/elitist connotations as well.

I find it humorous (and hypocritical) that half of the people arguing in this thread are people who say they don't care about the list and yet do as shown by their own actions.
Both of them are videos. Some people like them. Some don't. Some people are retarded. Some aren't. Get over it and go edit while I go play video games >_>.

I totally agree. But I guess my definition of artistism might be different.Moonlight Soldier wrote: This is, for many, just another hobby, and not all have been to film school, or aspire to make something of great "artistic" value. I've been accused of originality. That is not why I do this. The fact is, my reason #1 for making videos is EXACTLY because I want to see certain AMVs done to music I hear often and enjoy, or because there's a certain visual idea that strikes me. There's no ulterior motives to that, and to me artistism is something that works only when you make something that has value to you personally.
I guess there's some argument though as to where artistry ends. To me as an editor personally it ends on where Beo's chart goes into the right half - at least in terms of motivation. To others, I think, it ends where it goes into the right-bottom quarter.
To others it's probably something different altogether.

Your attitude is self centered and therefor isn't really relevent when people are talking about the health of a community.dwchang wrote:I find it humorous (and hypocritical) that half of the people arguing in this thread are people who say they don't care about the list and yet do as shown by their own actions.
