How do i convert a VOB?

Post by Demon-Girl24 » Wed Jul 06, 2005 10:40 am

I need to convert a vob file into a file that windows movie maker will accept. Does anyone know a program I can download and use without paying money?

How about you read the guides and don't come back until you have a REAL QUESTION?

This is the third thread you've created that covers the most basic stuff that you could easily obtain from browsing the guides. The forum is not your personal Google and should not be treated as such.

I've read the guides and they haven't helped me with this certain problem.

Use DVDDecrypter. I always found the guides on the org a little too complicated when I was a n00b because most stuff I had no clue what the hell was. If you need further assisstance contact me on AIM

Best bet would probably be ripper -> DGIndex -> AVS -> VDubMod, as outlined in the guide.

Where's Scintilla with his link, anyway?

As requested, SIR!:
http://www.aquilinestudios.org/wmm2guide.html

However, a fat lot of good it'll do anyone who's never read the relevant sections of EADFAG; my guide does not cover actual ripping of the VOBs, just the stuff after the D2V file creation.

And Demon-Girl24, the guides most certainly DO help with the problem you're describing. If you read the relevant sections, you'll see that they mention the required programs by name, and they're all free downloads.

Though now that I think about it, someone might want to update this page so that the "DVD Decrypter" link doesn't actually go to dvddecrypter.com, but rather to the location of the last version...

Dude, anythings free, you just need to know how to get it, and I'm not talking P2P. Back on subject, though. DVD2AVI works well, but the files probably will take forever to turn into clips on WMM, due to the file size, unless you got a lot of RAM to throw around.
