A change of seasons - EP.. I just think that song alone is worth all the money I have on me. And it has a second cd with live gig stuff.

Ditto that. Get Octavarium first though, its easier to get into than the other DT albums I've heard.

As for LTE, your best bet is an online store and waiting for projeckt life to finish. I've looked around alot but never found any of their albums.

Dream Theater - Images & Words (failure to purchase this one is a sin!)
Dream Theater - Awake
Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory

Liquid Tension Experiment only has two albums so purchase both. The first one has this 30min long improvised jam session. It was so long that the master tape ran out and you'll hear the drop in sound quality as they splice in Mike Portnoy's DAT copy for the remaining minutes.

Dream Theater's "Falling Into Infinity" and "Octavarium" are on the SUCK list for me. Their first album "When Dream And Day Unite" has a different vocalist (Charlie Dominici) so you may want to avoid if you really enjoy James LaBrie.

on june 28th 2005 a mike portnoy solo cd came out called prime cuts. its released of magna carta label its acollection of different projects mike was involved in recently. there are 4 liquid tension experiment tracks and the rest are cover songs he played on various tribute cds. but i heard they released with mike portnoys consent but it looks like a good record most cd sites have samples of the songs to check out.

i also agree with leenarutogaara get all dream theatre cds
